Lady's Well

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Lady's Well as Holy Well (medieval)(possible). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Lady's Well is traditionally associated with a local Marian devotion, possibly linked to the Virgin Mary, as the name "Lady" often denotes in Scottish holy wells. Such sites were commonly used for healing rituals and water was often collected for blessings or to cure ailments, though specific cures or folklore connected to this well are not well documented.
