Knockloskeraun Fort is a fairy fort in County Clare, an earthen ring where the border between worlds grows thin. People avoid it at night, not from cowardice but respect, believing the fort belongs to others and its roads answer nobody human. The earth may be quiet during the day, but that quiet is not empty; it is waiting.
