Knockaunboy Holy Well is a ritual site in County Clare, Ireland. Whether it marked a drinking place, a healing claim or a boundary between people and the dead, water still gives the story its shape. The names have faded, but the act remains: to go down, ask, drink, and leave changed.

Linked to Saint Gobnait, the holy well at Knockaunboy is traditionally associated with cures for eye ailments and general healing. Local folklore recalls that pilgrims would visit the site, especially on the saint's feast day, to collect blessed water in the belief that it possessed miraculous properties.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
