Knockanoura Fort is a fairy fort in County Clare, an earthen ring where human history has thinned into legend. The soil may still hold the shape of hands that built it, yet local tradition hands the place to unseen residents instead. People may have lived there before fear or wonder took the keys, leaving behind a boundary between the known world and the dark imagination.
