Kirsten Sheridan

Kirsten Sheridan was born in Dublin in 1976, but her childhood bounced between that city and New York while her father struggled to be seen. She turned those years of poverty and displacement into stories, co-writing In America with her family and directing Disco Pigs, a film about teenagers trapped in obsessive friendship. Her work keeps returning to the same question: how much of a life must be lost before it becomes a story others can hear?
