What is recorded here

West Lodge still stands before Kinnaird Castle in Angus, a small gate house whose exact age has never been recorded. It may have watched carts, riders or hungry dogs pass for centuries, directing them toward the main castle or away from private ground. That uncertainty does not weaken the lodge; it refuses to be reduced to a single date or a single owner.
