Brechin Castle stands in Angus as a medieval castle and tower house, its stones marked by age rather than a single dramatic event. It may have hosted bishops, soldiers or ordinary families, but the chamber still belongs to the living because people keep returning to imagine what it held.

Built by the Leslie family in the 13th century, Brechin Castle was an important stronghold in the Mearns region of Scotland. It is remembered for its strategic role in local power struggles and its association with the influential Earls of Crawford.
