Kilmoraun Ho.

House, 18th/19th century

What is recorded here

Situated on a N-S ridge. Listed in the RMP (1996) as ‘House, 17th-century, possible’. On inspection in 2000 it was found to be most likely an early 19th-century house, abandoned and obscured by briars and brambles. A three-bay, one and a half storey house with chimneys at each gable. It faces SE and has lean-to extensions at NW and SE. The doorway could not be made out. There are two half-storey windows, one on the NW face and one on the SE face at opposite ends of the building possibly indicating the presence of two lofts.
