Killacassaun is a vanished burial ground hidden beneath improved pasture at the sheltered south foot of a low ridge in County Clare. The name survives on old maps as Cill an Chasáin, but the ground itself has been cleared and forgotten. A possible man-made passage lies fifty metres southeast, suggesting the site still holds chambers below the grass. What was buried there has gone quiet, waiting beneath the feet of anyone walking the ridge.

On improved and extensively cleared pasture at the sheltered S foot of a low ridge which rises up to W and N. Indicated and named ‘Killcassaun (Site of)’ on the 1915 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and as ‘Cill an Chasáin’ on Robinson’s map ([1977] 1999). Not visible at ground level.
