What is recorded here
Kill Burial Ground for Children stands in a Cork pasture, a rectangular patch guarded by a low stone wall. The 1842 survey named it plainly, and grave markers still cluster along its western edge. It is a brutal clarity: a separate place for the smallest lives, marked without decoration but remembered without hesitation.
Marked 'Kill Burial Ground for Children' on OS 6-inch map (1842). In pasture. Rectangular area enclosed by low stone wall. Many grave markers noted, especially to W.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
