What is recorded here
Kill Burial Gd (Children) is a subrectangular burial ground in County Cork pasture, enclosed by a rough stone wall and marked by many grave markers. It belongs to the oldest human layer of the landscape, where death was not hidden but shaped into a place children could understand. The wall does not decorate; it holds. What is lost goes inside, and what is inside remains answerable.
In pasture. Subrectangular area enclosed by rough stone wall. Many grave markers noted.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
