Kildonnan

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Kildonnan as Chapel (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1km. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Kildonnan is linked to Saint Donnan, a 7th-century Irish monk and martyr associated with the island of Eigg in the Inner Hebrides. He founded a monastery there, which was destroyed by Norse invaders, leading to the martyrdom of Donnan and his 52 companions, a event commemorated in local tradition and holy wells.
