Montgomery Street in Dublin still carries his name because a boy born there in 1818 grew into the finest equestrian sculptor of his age. Foley shaped horse and rider into living motion for Kolkata and London, proving that stone could remember breath. His hands left Dublin, but the street kept his shape.
