Jim Gavin was born on 1 July 1971 in the Clonburris area of Clondalkin. He became the most successful manager in Dublin football history, winning six All-Ireland titles and seven consecutive Leinster crowns before stepping down in 2019. The same man also rose through the Irish Air Corps to command UN peacekeeping flights, carrying Dublin discipline into both international skies and domestic fields.
