Jeremiah O'Donovan Rossa was born in Rosscarbery in 1831, where famine hunger and British rule forged a lifetime of resistance. He carried that wound into prisons, American exiles and dynamite campaigns, never stopping until Ireland stood free. His funeral in Dublin became a spark for the 1916 rising, proving that one unbroken life can reshape a nation.
