Jeanette

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Jeanette as Motor Fishing Vessel (period Unassigned)-(1977). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Jeanette was a motor fishing vessel built in the early 20th century and active in Scottish waters until 1977, when it was struck by a storm off the coast of Caithness, leading to its sinking. All four crew members were lost, along with a cargo of herring, marking it as one of the last significant fishing vessel wrecks of the 20th century in the region.
