Iwerddon rises to approximately 480 metres and is part of the rugged terrain of the Eryri (Snowdonia) range in north Wales. It is composed mainly of volcanic and sedimentary rocks from the Ordovician period. The mountain contributes to the cultural and natural heritage of the area, popular with hikers and geologists alike.
