Israel Olatunde

Israel Olatunde was born in Drogheda, Ireland, on 29 May 2002, but he is remembered as the Dundalk boy who ran faster than everyone else. He grew up in Dundalk, County Louth, copying his sister Sharon into athletics and learning to sprint at St Mary's College under coach Gerry McArdle. That small town gave him speed, confidence and a national record, carrying him from local tracks to European finals.
