What is recorded here

Crannog islands were ancient lakeside homes, and this is one in Fermanagh. Build a circle of stones, drop timber into the water, and the lake returns dry ground for a kitchen, a cradle, a fire. That is all a crannog needs: human hands making a small world out of open water.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as ISLAND, possibly CRANNOG. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
