Crannog islands are ancient lake dwellings, and this is one in Moylehid. Build a chamber on the island with reed mats and timber beams, then row out at dusk to watch the water carry the sky.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as ISLAND, possibly CRANNOG. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
