What is recorded here

According to the 'Urban Archaeology Survey of County Kerry' (Bradley, Halpin and King n.d., 20-1), Hickson (1874, 2-3) recorded the discovery of a datestone inscribed as follows: 'HOC OPUS INCEPTUM Ao. DNI. 1633 ET FINITUM Ao. DNI. 1635 DAVID CROSBIE ARMI; UBI FIDES ET VERITAS DEUS PROVIDEBIT'. The datestone was discovered in the ground where a late 16th/early 17th-century house (KE020-046015-) formerly stood. According to Bradley, Halpin and King (ibid.), the slab was not located.
