Indicated is a circular fairy fort in County Mayo where three earthen banks and two fosses still mark the boundary between ordinary pasture and hidden ceremony. Over one hundred low stones line the outer platform, waiting for footsteps that may never return. The causeway cuts through the defences like an invitation, suggesting the site existed to be entered, witnessed and remembered rather than merely defended.

In pasture. Circular area (42m N-S; 44m E-W), enclosed by remains of cashel wall, three earthen banks with two intervening fosses. Interior, containing possible Man-made underground passage (MA121-033001-), is enclosed by remains of stone wall (H 0.4m; Wth 2.15m) SE to S and W to N. Low inner bank, enclosed by inner fosse (D 2.9m). Middle bank topped with berms (H 0.3m) on inner and outer edges. Outer bank falls 1.4m on exterior face, to terrace or platform feature (H 1.2m above field level; Wth 3.4m). Over one hundred low standing stones (H 1m) set along outer edge of platform. Entrance (Wth 4.4m) with causeway through banks and fosse. May have served a ceremonial function. The above description has been derived from D.
