Indicated is a fairy fort on a Mayo hilltop, its low earthen bank still drawing a clear oval across the pasture. The land office and local memory agree that the ring is real, but they stop short of claiming that people lived inside it or that the fort is empty. A shallow depression marks the reported underground passage, leaving the chamber hidden beneath hummocky ground. The visible bank and the unseen chamber both belong to the same place, while the chamber waits to be seen.

In pasture, located on top of a hill, with very good views. Slightly raised oval area (32m N−S; 27.6m E−W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.6m SSE, 3.4m at NNW; int. H 0.6m at NNW; ext. H 1.1m at SSE, 0.95m at NNW). The bank is low but well defined, with stones protruding intermittently along its inner face at NW and NE. It is incorporated into a later field wall on the SW arc. A low terrace (Wth c. 5m) defined on its outer edge by a low scarp is evident immediately outside the bank on the E half of the rath; it is possible that this may be the remnant of an outer enclosing element. There are narrow eroded breaks in the bank at N (Wth 1.2m) and NNE (Wth 1m). According to local information, there is a Man-made underground passage (MA072-077001-) in the N half of the interior; the location is marked by a shallow surface depression in an area of uneven hummocky ground.
