What is recorded here

Indicated is a hidden ringfort in County Mayo, Ireland, where a low drumlin hillock and thick scrub bury a subcircular earthwork from ordinary sight. Its sharp scarp still rises beside pasture, while later field boundaries and drystone facing have woven human change into the old shape. The place keeps its size, tilt and concealment intact, inviting a person to walk around the hidden circle and measure how much of the landscape has forgotten itself.

In pasture, situated on a low drumlin hillock in rolling countryside. Views are limited by higher ground in most directions. This rath consists of a raised subcircular area (34.2m NW-SE; 28m NE-SW) defined by a scarp (H 1.75m at SSW). The scarp has been incorporated into a later field boundary at NNW−SSE, and modified in parts by the addition of drystone facing. The rath is engulfed in scrub.
