What is recorded here

Indicated is an oval fairy fort in County Mayo, Ireland, marked by a low earthen scarp and a faint outer ditch at the junction of three townlands. It sits among at least three other ringforts within a few hundred metres, suggesting a settled landscape rather than a lonely marker. The earth remains low and worn, yet the shape is clear enough to imagine people moving through pasture, tending animals or gathering at the edge of fields long before the land took its modern name.

In level pasture at the top of a S-facing slope, at the junction of three townland boundaries: Cornanaff, Grallagh (Gallen Barony) and Strade. An oval–shaped area (int. diams. 36m N–S; 26m E–W) is defined by a low scarp (H 0.8m at N-1.5m at W) with traces of a shallow outer fosse (Wth 2m) surviving at N. A second ringfort (MA070-122----) lies c. 80m to the NW and two more ringforts (MA070-124---- and MA070-125----) lie side by side c. 270m to the SE.
