What is recorded here
Indicated is a vanished fairy fort in County Mayo, Ireland. A circular enclosure twenty to twenty-five metres wide stood on a low ridge, visible on maps from 1838 and 1930 before ploughing erased it. The land still holds the shape of what disappeared, inviting imagination to complete what the soil forgot.
In pasture, located on a low ridge. This enclosure is shown as a circular, ringfort-sized enclosure (diam. 20-25m) on the 1838 and 1930 OS 6-inch maps. It has been levelled, and there is no visible trace at ground level.
