What is recorded here

Indicated is a collapsed stone oval hidden in blackthorn scrub on a northwest-facing Clare slope, standing beside an older rath. Its broad ruined wall still marks a place people shaped before forgetting took it. The thorns hold the stones like a fist, waiting for someone patient enough to listen.

On a NW-facing slope in dense blackthorn scrub with a rath (CL010-014002-) c. 20m to the NE. Indicated on the 1916 edition of the OS 6-inch map, and visible on aerial imagery (GSI M 348). An overgrown oval enclosure (est. diams. c. 38m NW-SE; c. 25m NE-SW) is defined by a collapsed stone spread which is visible at S and SSW (Wth 3-3.5m; H 0.7-1.2m).
