What is recorded here
On the E slope of a hillock in marshy grassland. No visible surface trace survived of a hachured feature marked on the 1932 edition of the OS 6-inch map, and named 'Gravel Pit (Disused) on the OS 25-inch plan, when inspected in 1983. A shed had been built on the spot. As the pit was of post-AD 1700 date it does not come within the remit of the Archaeological Survey of Ireland.
