In elevated rocky pasture close to the edge of a steep ravine aligned NE-SW which separates the site from higher ground to the S. Within a multiperiod field system (CL005-160001-). Depicted as an enclosure on the 1916 OS 6-inch map. A large subcircular enclosure (53m N-S; 55m E-W) extending E from a cashel (CL005-147----) and defined by a stone wall (max. H 1.8m; Wth 1.2-1.5m) with inner (H 0.4-0.9m) and outer (H 0.15-0.8m) wall-facing surmounted by later stonework. Cattle gaps are evident at N (Wth 0.4m) and SSW (Wth 0.5m). The location of the original entrance is unclear. The interior of the enclosure is rocky and uneven in places, and it encompasses a possible clochan (CL005-147003-) in its SE quadran. Curving walls form inner enclosures abutting the interior at NW (c. 9.5m NE-SW; c. 7m NW-SE) and NE (15m NW-SE; 10m NE-SW). That at NE is defined by a broad grassed-over wall (Wth c. 2m) with gaps at NW and SE (Wth 1.6m). Its interior is level.
