What is recorded here
Indicated is a modern circular enclosure on a gentle slope beside Poulawack cairn in County Clare. It measures about twelve metres across and has a drystone wall. A map from 1994 marked an enclosure there, but the note may have meant the rectangular cashel sixty metres south. The true identity of Indicated remains uncertain.
Situated on a gentle S-facing slope c. 250m SE of Poulawack cairn (CL009-032010-). Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the RMP (1996). An enclosure was noted on an OS 6-inch map at this location in 1994 (pers. comm. T. Coffey, SMR file). This is a small circular enclosure (diam. c. 12m) defined by a drystone wall of modern construction. The map notation may have intended to indicate the rectangular cashel (CL009-032011-) c. 60m to the S.
