What is recorded here

Indicated is a possible rath in County Galway, Ireland, overlooking Lough Derg. A low bank and shallow fosse still mark its circular shape, though trees have grown inside and around it. The lake light, forest shade and hidden boundary suggest a place where people, story and memory still move.
In a forested area overlooking Lough Derg to the SE. Roughly circular in plan, this possible rath (int. diam. c. 50m) is defined by a bank (int. H 0.7m) and fosse (Wth 2m; D 1m). The bank is faced with stone externally. Trees are growing around and within the interior of the monument (Archaeological Consultancy Services Ltd., 1997).
