Indicated (1838).

In rough, rushy pasture, at the base of a S-facing slope. Indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 20m). A roughly circular depression (c. 15m E-W; c. 15-20m N-S; D c. 0.6m), the shallow sloping sides of which merge seamlessly with the base. The depression appears to cut into the base of the natural slope NW-NE but this area has been partially disturbed by a quarry pit (7m E-W; 4m N-S).
