Indicated

On a rise in grassland and overlooking the shore of Galway Bay c. 175m to the SW. Marked on the 1933 edition of the OS 6-inch map as the arc of a double-faced wall curving from roughly NE to S. A NNW-SSE running field wall cuts it at S. Classified by McCaffrey (1952, 200, No. 115) as a circular 'Stone fort' defined by a double-faced wall (Wth 3.6m; H 0.54m) which was obscured by field rubble. The landowner recalled an arc of stones; it was subsequently leveled as a result of field clearance. No visible surface trace survives.
