What is recorded here

Indicated is a substantial oval ringfort in undulating Mayo pasture, enclosing a small circular earth structure and standing beside an old field system. Its stone wall rises 2.4m on part of the circuit, while a lower earth-and-stone bank completes the rest, suggesting a place built to be seen and defended across open ground. People may have lived, herded or hidden there before the fields faded, but the fort still marks the shape of their world.

In undulating pasture, ringfort (187) 300m E. Oval-shaped area (31.5m N-S; 38m E-W), enclosed by substantial stone wall (H 2.4m; Wth 2.1m) SE to NE; defined by bank of earth and stone (H 0.3m) NE to SE. Circular structure of earth and stone (diam. 4.4m; H 0.2m) in interior. Field system (MA118-073001-), to N and E of site. The above description has been derived from D.
