In level pasture with lower ground to W and SW. Roughly circular, slightly raised area (28m N-S; 32m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.7m); silted-up fosse. Field fence atop levelled bank N->E. Hole (diam. 2m; D 1.5m) dug in bank to SSW. Field clearance stones dumped against external bank face to N. Break in bank (Wth 1.4m) to E. Liscubba is a roughly circular fairy fort (ringfort/rath) with an earthen bank and silted fosse, typical of early-medieval agricultural settlements in Ireland, likely dating to between the 6th and 10th centuries. Local folklore often associates such sites with the faé or other supernatural beings, though specific traditions connected to Liscubba are not recorded.
