Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Killinraghty Big, County Roscommon, Ireland. The D-shaped grass-covered area sits on a gentle south-facing slope of a large northwest-southeast ridge. An earthen bank, hedge and scarp define its boundary, while the Castlerea to Roscommon road cuts through the northeast section. Faint traces of an outer fosse remain at the northwest edge.
On a gentle S-facing slope of a large NW-SE ridge. D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 40.2m NW-SE; 34.5m NE-SW) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4.4-4.7m; int. H 0.3-0.7m; ext. H 1.1-1.6m) and hedge E-S and W-N, and by a scarp (H 0.5m) S-W. The monument is truncated by the NW-SE N60 Castlerea to Roscommon road at NE. There is no identifiable original entrance but there are traces of an outer fosse (Wth of top 7m; Wth of base 3.3; D 0.4m) at NW.
