What is recorded here

Situated on a fairly steep SE-facing slope in lush meadow. Indicated as a circular enclosure on the 1st ed. (1840) OS 6-inch map, transected by a NW-SE field boundary. On the 1901-05 ed. only the SW quadrant, S of the traversing boundary, is shown. No visible trace at ground level. The area W of the field boundary slopes very steeply to the SE.
