What is recorded here

In pasture, on the lower N-facing slopes of The Paps of Dana. The remains of a circular hut (diam. 5.4m) defined by a drystone wall (T c. 3m; H 0.5m), which has collapsed inwards. The wall is best preserved NE-SSE. A break at NE may indicate the entrance. The interior is totally obscured by rubble. This is the 'cathairín' which was recorded in the 1940s on Patrick Sweeney's land. A possible hut site (KE068-038----) lies c. 110m to the NNE.
