What is recorded here

Indicated is a ruined stone ringfort on a Galway slope where children may have slept beneath the soil. Its collapsed wall still stands thicker at the southwest, while scrub and forgotten rubble hide the rest. The fort has lost most of its shape, but the story of young graves keeps the place alive.

On the S-facing slope of a gentle rise. This poorly preserved subcircular cashel (26.9m ENE-WSW; 21.6m NW-SE) is defined by a much-collapsed drystone wall that is best preserved at SW (Wth 3.4m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 0.19m). The monument is overgrown with trees and scrub and from E to WSW field-clearance rubble has been piled against the external-face.
