What is recorded here

Indicated is a collapsed stone ringfort near the top of a low Cavan hill, its entrance lost and its wall reduced to scattered rubble. It is the kind of place where human anger, love or fear may have raged before disappearing into mountain silence.

Raised circular area (int. diam. 21.9m) enclosed by a largely collapsed drystone wall. Original entrance not recognisable. Situated in rough mountainous terrain close to the summit of a low hill. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995).
