What is recorded here

Indicated is a circular earthwork in County Cork, Ireland, where a stone-faced bank and steep scarp still mark the boundary of a lost home. It sits on a south-facing slope, slightly uneven because someone built the interior higher on one side to keep the ground level. That small act of adjustment makes the fort feel lived-in rather than drawn. The overgrown ditch and hidden outer bank suggest the place resisted forgetting, even when people stopped visiting.

In pasture, on S-facing slope. Circular area (25m E-W; 24.9m N-S) definedby earthen stone-faced bank (H 1.2m) to N and E; scarp (H 1.7m) elsewhere. External fosse to W and possible remains of outer bank; both heavily overgrown. Interior raised on S side to compensate for hillslope.
