What is recorded here

Indicated is a vanished Cork ringfort, reduced to a two-metre earthen arc hidden inside a southern field fence. The 1842 map still draws its forty-metre circle, but pasture and forgetting have erased most of the bank. Whatever life moved within that lost ring has fed the soil, leaving only a shallow depression for a person to imagine.

In pasture. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam c. 40m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Levelled; arc formed by earthen bank (H 2m) survives in field fence to S; slight depression defines outline of enclosure elsewhere.
