What is recorded here
Marked as a small island (diam. c. 5m) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on the E shore of the now partially drained Black Lough (diam. c. 70m; original diam. c. 180m-200m). Nothing is visible at ground level in the reed-choked lake. Possible crannog (RO017-098002-) is c. 110m to the SW.
