What is recorded here

Indicated is a one-metre-high earthen ring in Galway grassland, holding a clear circular floor wide enough for a dozen people to walk beside each other. It survived the loss of its ditch and the forgetting of its name, which means the shape itself still refuses to disappear. A fort needs a defended edge, but this place keeps its edge inside the memory of the people who first saw it.

In level open grassland, formerly part of Dunsandle Demesne. This roughly circular platform (diam. 31m) is defined by a scarp (H 1m). Slight traces of a shallow fosse were noted from E to SW on inspection in April 1981 (SMR file). Apart from some slight humps and hollows the interior was clear.
