Indicated

In pasture, on a low hill in an undulating landscape. A circular area (c. 42m E-W) defined by a low earthen bank (Wth 5m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.8m) WSW-ESE and by a scarp ESE-WSW. The bank and scarp are stone-faced externally W-NE and intermittently along the E, S and SW arcs. The drystone facing comprises rounded stones and is built in a similar fashion to a nearby field boundary. There are three cattle gaps in the bank at S, SW, and WNW, respectively. Trees grow in places along the bank. The interior is relatively level. There is a possible entrance (Wth 3m) at ENE. This is probably the 'remarkably large' rath 'on an eminence' in the centre of Dromadeesirt which was mentioned in the 1840s (OSNB, Kilcummin, no. 3, 16). There is a mound (KE058-144----) c. 100m to the E and a second rath (KE058-038----) c. 200m to the W.
