Indicated

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Indicated is a broken fairy fort on the lower slopes of Killeen Mountain, its thirty-metre circle marked by a stone-flecked bank and three gaps that invite entry rather than keep it out. The level pasture inside has forgotten every human purpose, yet the shape remains clear enough to suggest a doorway, a stage or a temporary camp. That much of the ring has surrendered to grass and time makes the surviving line feel less like a boundary and more like an invitation.
In pasture, on the lower N-facing slopes of Killeen Mountain. A raised circular area (diam. c. 30m) defined by a bank with stone inclusions (Wth 2.2m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1m) N-S and by the remnants of a low bank (Wth 0.5m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 1.8m) faced externally with a stone wall S-N. There are breaks in the bank N-NE (Wth 10m), at ENE (Wth 6m) and at SSE (Wth 1m). The level interior is under pasture. An enclosure (KE068-031----) lies c. 100m to the NE.
