Situated on high ground in an upland area. A circular area (diam. 28m E-W) enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth 3m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.3m) visible from E through S to W, elsewhere reduced to a scarp, with no entrance feature or fosse visible. A nineteenth-century grove of trees is planted to the NW. Possibly a ringfort reused as a tree-ring in the nineteenth century. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
