What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort in County Mayo, Ireland. It holds a circular grassy area forty-eight metres wide, bordered by a low earthen bank that reaches only thirty centimetres in places. People may have lived inside the ring before forgetting its name, while others rejected the whole idea because the wall is so short. The land has changed, the boundary has blurred, and the fort still waits for someone to notice it without fearing what it might return.

In pasture, atop slight rise. Circular raised area (48m N-S; 51m E-W), enclosed by low earthen bank (H 0.3m). Bank levelled NE to SE, due to quarrying. Interior heavily overgrown.
