What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort in County Cork, Ireland. It occupies a circular pasture area twenty-five metres across, bounded by an overgrown earthen bank one metre high. A possible entrance faces north, while a second partially levelled ringfort joins the main circle at the southeast. The combined earthworks suggest a busy residential or ceremonial landscape rather than a single isolated mound.

In pasture, atop NE-facing slope. Hachured as circular enclosure on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Circular area (25.6m N-S) enclosed by overgrown earthen bank (H 1.2m). Possible entrance to N. Conjoined to SE by partially levelled ringfort (CO045-01702-). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
