What is recorded here

Indicated is a vanished Cork ringfort where a thirty-eight metre circle once held human life before gardens and drainage swallowed it. A thin earthen arc still bulges beside a field fence, preserving the last breath of a fort now reduced to soil and shadow. What remains is small enough to walk across in seconds, yet large enough to suggest that an entire neighbourhood disappeared beneath ordinary ground.

Indicated as circular enclosure (diam. c. 38m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map, at WSW end of garden; interior planted. Levelled; arc formed by earthen bank (int. H 0.8m; ext. H 0.85m) with external fosse (D 1.15m) survives in field fence system to SW. Fosse appears to have been deepened due to drainage works.
